Two Trine University civil engineering majors have received $5,000 scholarships from
the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Education Foundation.
Derek Miller of Shipshewana, Indiana, and Quinten Prieur of Constantine, Michigan,
each received AISC/Associated Steel Erectors of Chicago Scholarships. They were among
eight students who received that particular scholarship.
The AISC Education Foundation awarded more than $138,000 to full-time juniors, seniors
and master’s students in civil engineering, architectural engineering, construction
engineering, construction management and architecture programs within the United States.
To be eligible for the AISC/Associated Steel Erectors of Chicago Scholarships, students
had to be U.S. citizens and be enrolled full-time in civil engineering or architectural
engineering programs in Illinois or Indiana.
