The annual Trine Day fundraising effort far exceeded previous efforts, with 585 donors giving more than $150,000 to support scholarships, academics, organizations and athletic teams at Trine University.
Trine Day 2021 raised $151,051.37.
This year’s event spanned 1,884 minutes between April 19 and 20, a nod to the university’s founding in 1884. Trine Day also included a friendly competition between supporters of the university’s 36 athletic teams, with the baseball team raising the most funds, followed by wrestling.
“We’re grateful for the many generous supporters — more than double from two years ago — who participated in Trine Day, both by giving and encouraging others to give through social media,” said Maureen Bernath, director of annual giving. “Each dollar invested in the education of Trine University students puts them one step closer to achieving their career and life goals. These investments pay dividends as Trine alumni continue to positively impact our state, nation and world.”

Two students from Trine University’s Ketner School of Business finished in the top 16 at the annual National Collegiate Sports Sales Championship (NCSSC) competition, held Jan. 21 and 22 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
An Indianapolis Colts preseason package, gourmet meals and collectibles autographed by famous names such as Taylor Swift, Patrick Mahomes and Ronald Reagan will be among the many items auctioned to support Trine University student scholarships during the university’s 21st Annual Scholarship Gala.
Trine University is now offering its associate of applied science in surgical technology degree in an expanded hybrid format, allowing students to complete online coursework from home while gaining valuable in-person experience through immersive courses, lab sessions and clinical rotations.
