Sporting events’ impact discussed on Trine podcast

Jazmin ZavalaIn the newest episode of Trine University’s Center for Sports Studies podcast, the Visit Fort Wayne Sports Sales Manager, Jazmin Zavala, talks about her day-to-day responsibilities, the economic and cultural impact large sporting events have on Fort Wayne, and how the bidding process works to secure these events.

After a career in sales and customer service, Zavala now uses her skills to help attract large sporting events, such as the NCAA Division III men’s basketball championship, to Fort Wayne. She identifies potential sporting events that Fort Wayne could host and works with multiple partners, from facilities to hotels, to make it happen.

Produced through the Trine Broadcasting Network, the Trine Center for Sports Studies podcast focuses on the business side of sports, including interviews with sports professionals and current research in sports studies. Trine chamber orchestra presents ‘Folk Dances’

The Trine University Chamber Orchestra, directed by Music Department Director Brad Jopek, DMA, will hold its spring concert on Sunday, April 13, at 3 p.m. in the Ryan Concert Hall of the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts.
