Christian Jones is Trine’s new director of development

Christian JonesTrine University has named Christian Jones, an alumnus and employee with experience in multiple departments, as its new director of development.

In his new role, Jones will devise and oversee a strategic fundraising plan in order to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gift prospects, as well as current and past donors, for the university.

“Christian has excelled in admission, student affairs and athletics positions at Trine University, and we’re excited to bring his energy and enthusiasm to this critical role,” said Gretchen Miller, senior vice president and chief operating officer.

Jones most recently worked for the university as associate athletic director of fan engagement and business operations. In that role, he supported a growing fan experience at all home football and basketball games. He also helped oversee all NCAA tournament games on Trine’s campus.

He also previously served Trine as director of student activities and as an admission counselor.

Jones earned both his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from Trine.

“I received an excellent education at Trine, and I feel privileged to be able to help future generations of Trine students benefit from the same experience I enjoyed,” he said.

Trine chamber orchestra presents ‘Folk Dances’
