Beginning Jan. 1, Trine University will reduce the tuition rate for students in its
College of Graduate and Professional Studies, also known as TrineOnline, to $299 per
credit hour.
“We know rising costs remain a barrier for many families to pursuing higher education,
even though completing a degree is one of the best ways to advance in your career
and increase your income,” said Keirsten Eberts, vice president of online and international
studies.
“This change is a major cost savings for our students, and we are pleased that outstanding
fiscal management and continued growth have allowed the university to provide this
opportunity.”
The tuition reduction is one of many avenues Trine University uses to keep costs reasonable
for online students.
The university offers more than 200 online courses that use open educational resources
(OER), eliminating expensive textbook costs. This includes two degree programs that
use OER in all their core courses.
Trine also offers generous transfer credit opportunities, with incoming students able
to apply up to 90 credit hours from prior college courses, prior workplace learning,
college-level examinations or military coursework.
Trine University offers nearly 40 academic programs, ranging from certificates through
a doctoral degree, through TrineOnline. TrineOnline offers a convenient platform that
allows students to learn fully online with no set class times.
