Trine crowns Homecoming royalty

Trine University recognized its 2024 Homecoming court as well as its king and queen during the annual Thunderstruck Pep Rally in the MTI Center on Sept. 27.

Chloe Goodrich of Burlington, Indiana, was named Homecoming queen. A senior majoring in elementary education, special education and English education, Goodrich is an accomplished athlete, competing in cross country and track and field. She also is an active member of Gamma Phi Epsilon. Her goal is to become a teacher who makes a difference, inspiring and supporting her students every day.

Michael Pacer of Maumee, Ohio, was named Homecoming king. A senior majoring in marketing and pursuing his MBA, Pacer is president of Trine Student Government and a proud member of the Ehinger Fellows, which allows him the opportunity to demonstrate his leadership and dedication to the student body. With a passion for connecting with others, Michael aims to work in sales, where his outgoing nature and desire to help people will shine.

Other members of the Homecoming court included:

Lauren Clausen of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, a senior who earned her degree in sport management and is now pursuing her MBA. A standout athlete on the softball team, Clausen also serves as the president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and works as an intern for both the Athletic Department and the football team, focusing on recruiting and operations. Her plans are to either coach college softball or work with a Power 5 football program or the NFL in recruiting, scouting, or player development.

Cole Alexander of Anderson, Indiana, a senior pursuing his Master of Business Administration. A member of the football team, Alexander plans to work with Jet Access Aviation in charter sales and as a financial analyst, while finishing his pilot’s license.

Anna Dee of Berne, Indiana, a senior majoring in marketing. Dee is part of the High Voltage Dance Team, Theta Phi Alpha, Christian Campus House, Delight, Women in Business, the Trine Sales and Marketing Association and Ehinger Fellows. Her future goal is to secure a marketing position at a nonprofit organization, where she can use her skills to make a meaningful impact on society.

Tanner Goff of Middletown, Indiana, a senior majoring in biomedical engineering and a member of the football team and Sigma Phi Epsilon. He plans to work in the biomedical industry and pursue graduate studies focused on drug delivery, and hopes to eventually lead a team of researchers to find cures for diseases worldwide.

Grace Dubec of Fishers, Indiana, a senior majoring in business management and also pursuing her MBA. Dubec is a standout on the women’s golf team and involved in a wide range of activities including the Ehinger Fellows, Theta Phi Alpha, Delta Mu Delta, Tee it up Trine and the Sport Management Club. She’s also a dedicated intern with the Ketner School of Business. After an exciting summer interning with the Indiana Pacers and Fever, Dubec aims to continue working with them post-graduation, with dreams of becoming a leader in corporate partnerships or business development in the sports industry.

Aaron Greene of Warsaw, Indiana, a senior majoring in mechanical engineering. An active member of the Christian Campus House, Greene participates on various intramural sports teams. After graduation, he aspires to be an engineer involved in designing and manufacturing innovative products. He also plans to serve in local non-profit organizations.

Aubrey Larner of Williamston, Michigan, a senior majoring in business administration. Larner serves as chair of the Mental Health Committee and Ketner School of Business Senator in Student Government, as well as Chief of Staff and a member of the Finance Committee.  She’s also involved in the Entrepreneurs Committee, Ehinger Fellows, Women in Business, Theta Phi Alpha and the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success. She aspires to excel in management and eventually become a CEO.

Gage Ornduff of Elkhart, Indiana, a senior majoring in secondary math education. Ornduff serves as the ambassador of the Christian Campus House, where he helps plan events with other organizations. He also serves as a student tutor. He plans to teach high school math, with a passion for subjects like algebra, geometry and calculus. When he's not in the classroom, he hopes to give back to his community by volunteering at the humane society or the zoo.

‘Carol’ premiere: Hollywood is coming to Angola, Indiana
