Waggoner, commander of the 122nd Fighter Wing, Fort Wayne Air National Guard Base, speaks Thursday, June 20, to attendees at the 85th annual Hoosier Boys State on the Trine University campus. Sponsored by the American Legion, Hoosier Boys State simulates the political process in Indiana from the local to the state level. Over the course of a week, delegates from across Indiana actively work together to create a fictional, but functional state government, honing valuable leadership and organizational skills in the process.

Trine University students Isaac Braun, a senior chemical engineering major from Portland, Indiana, and Ryan Sederstrom, a junior electrical engineering major from Cedar Lake, Indiana, placed 15th in the collegiate pairs tournament at the North American Bridge Championships.
