Trine University has promoted Travis Bowersock to the new role of executive director
of creative services, effective Nov. 10.
As executive director, Bowersock will lead the creative services team within the Office
of University Marketing and Communications. He will oversee a team of graphic design,
photography and videography professionals to continue to impact and elevate Trine
University’s brand.
He joined Trine in 2022 as director of design.
“Travis has been a dedicated, successful lead steward and ambassador of the university’s
visual brand identity and brand guidelines,” said Rachel Troutman, vice president
for university marketing and communications. “He has ensured those guidelines are
consistently applied and integrated into applications, projects and campaigns across
Trine University, resulting in superior creative production by his entire team. I’m
excited to see how he will connect the creative vision for the university to every
project he will oversee in his expanded role!”
Bowersock came to Trine from Do It Best Corp. in Fort Wayne, where he had served as
graphic design supervisor since 2015. In that role, he managed a team that included
10 graphic designers as well as other creative professionals to produce print, online,
video and social media content.
He also helped guide and implement comprehensive review of private label packaging
and the corporate brand.
Prior to working at Do It Best, Bowersock was advertising lead for ITT Exelis in Fort
Wayne, where he led a team of designers to develop advertising campaigns for the company’s
military and commercial products and services.
In addition to his work within University Marketing and Communications, Bowersock
teaches the Graphic Design Fundamentals course for the university’s Ketner School
of Business.
He holds a master’s degree in graphic design from the University of Saint Francis
and a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Indiana State University.
