Trine design work honored with CASE Best of District Award

Steve FaramelliSteve Faramelli, creative media specialist in the Office of University Marketing and Communications at Trine University, received a 2024-2025 Best of CASE District V award for a hockey media guide cover he designed.

Presented by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) on Oct. 30, the Best of District V Awards celebrate the best work in educational advancement in the Great Lakes region.

According to CASE, the awards acknowledge superior accomplishments that have lasting impact, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and deliver exceptional results.

“Steve is an extremely talented designer who brings creativity to each project he completes, whether designing the university magazine, athletic programs, billboards or any of the many promotional efforts that come through University Marketing and Communications,” said Travis Bowersock, executive director of creative services at the university. “I’m excited for this well-deserved recognition. It’s a testament not just to Steve, but to the excellent work done on every project by our entire creative team.”

The cover designed by Faramelli was included on Trine hockey programs for the 2024-25 season.

Faramelli has been part of Trine’s Office of University Marketing and Communications since 2014. Prior to joining the university, his experience included graphic design and creative management work at companies in Chicago, Cary, North Carolina, and Denver.
