While some consider the number 13 unlucky, for Trine University graduates, it’s evidence of continued excellence.
Trine University’s Class of 2025 saw 99.2% of its members obtain their desired career outcome within six months of graduation, continuing a 13-year streak of employment and graduate school placement averaging greater than 99%.
“Our career-focused curriculum and caring, expert faculty continue to prepare our students for high-paying careers, providing a tremendous return on investment for our graduates and their families,” said Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D., Trine University president.
“We’re proud of our track record of success, but it’s even more gratifying to know that we are equipping our graduates with the knowledge, skills and practical experience to succeed, lead and serve in their chosen fields.”
More than 97% of Trine’s Class of 2025 reported employment in their field of study.
“Our students are not just getting employed; the vast majority are launching into the careers they want,” said Jason Blume, assistant vice president for Innovation One. “It’s a testament to the dedication of our Career Services staff, who develop the connections to provide Trine students networking opportunities to secure their desired internships and jobs.”
Trine’s Class of 2025 saw more than 60% of its graduates employed in Indiana, with more than 86% staying in the Midwest.
In addition to the overall figures, Trine’s Franks School of Education reported that 100% of its graduates seeking teaching positions have now been employed for 14 straight years.
Exceeding national averages
Trine’s employment rate for its graduates remains nearly 15% higher than the most recent national figures. National figures for the Class of 2023, the most recent year available, showed 84.7% of college graduates employed with six months of completing their degree.
Events hosted by Trine University’s Career Center, which play a significant role in connecting students with employers, continue to grow.
The university set a record at its fall 2025 Tailgate for Talent Career Fair, with more than 140 employers participating and more than 700 students attending the event.
