Jennifer Rubenstein, a Trine University alumna with more than 20 years of experience
in communications and relationship management, has joined the university’s Office
of University Advancement as director of development.
In her new role, Rubenstein will formulate, implement and oversee a strategic fundraising
plan designed to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gift prospects as
well as current and past donors.
She will work with and support the university president, vice president for advancement
and team in the Office of University Advancement as they help the university carry
out and expand its mission through fundraising and engagement efforts.
“Jennifer has a passion for this institution as well as extensive experience building
and developing strategic relations, both critical qualities for this role,” said Matt
Land, vice president for university advancement at Trine. “We’re glad to welcome her
back to campus and look forward to the success she will have in further engaging the
many generous supporters of Trine University.”
Marketing grad
Rubenstein, who graduated from Trine in 2000 with a degree in marketing, most recently
served as vice president of marketing and communications for the Boone County Economic
Development Corporation (EDC).
In that role, she developed and launched an elevated new brand for the organization.
Her duties also included overseeing and managing the website, marketing materials,
media relations and stakeholder reports.
Prior to and overlapping her role at the Boone EDC, Rubenstein owned and operated
Edible Indy as publisher and president, as well as Rubenstein Hills LLC, a multimedia
company and publishing house. She currently serves as president and co-founder of
the Rubenstein Hills Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting
the development of a family camp for children with pediatric epilepsy.
“I have many fond memories from my time as a student at Trine, and I am honored to
return to the institution that helped launch my career,” said Rubenstein. “Trine is
a truly special community, and I look forward to connecting and reconnecting with
the Trine family as we work together to empower future generations of students to
build strong educational foundations and pursue their aspirations.”
