Area businesses invited to Trine’s annual Tailgate for Talent

July 28, 2026

Businesses looking to hire Trine University students or graduates for internships or full-time roles are invited to be part of the university’s Tailgate for Talent, which will be held along Thunder Drive from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.

Held outdoors since 2020, the Tailgate for Talent career fair provides students looking for full-time employment upon graduation or internships during the course of their studies at Trine the opportunity to network with businesses and gain experience with presenting a resume and interviewing.

Last year’s event set an attendance record, with more than 700 students attending and more than 140 registered employers recruiting.

Michelle Young, career coach and industry liaison, said that in addition to allowing businesses to recruit from a pool of talented Trine students and alumni, Tailgate for Talent allows them to network with other businesses and learn more about how the university can assist them with their business needs.

Students on Trine’s Angola campus represent more than 40 undergraduate majors in engineering and computing, business, education, health sciences and arts and sciences. More than 99 percent of Trine students have been employed or enrolled in graduate school within six months of graduation over the past 13 years.
