General Information

Diplomas are printed with the title of the degree, and not with the name of the major or minor. Some degree titles include an area of study, and many do not. Three examples of degrees are: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and Bachelor of Science. You may view your exact degree title, major, and minor on the pdf version of your transcript available on myPortal. If you would like additional information, please contact the Registrar’s Office.

Students may choose how they want their name on the diploma. Most students use a middle name or middle initial, but this is not required.

Students will not receive diplomas if they are ‘on hold’ with any University Office. Once all holds are removed, please contact the Registrar’s Office to request the mailing of your diploma.

Fall grades will be posted on Dec. 18. To request an official transcript, electronic ordering is available at trine.edu/transcripts. There is a $10 charge for each transcript.

Summer ‘23 graduates: You should have received your diploma after you completed your final semester.

Fall ’23 graduates: Once all holds are removed, all diploma information will be emailed one to four weeks after degree completion. Watch your Trine email address for details. The email will come from Parchment.com.

If you will participate in the Commencement ceremony, and you require special assistance because of a physical disability, please contact the Registrar’s Office as soon as possible at registrar@trine.edu.

All graduating students, whether or not they are participating in the ceremony, are asked to complete the December 2023 Graduation Form in myPortal, located under the student tab. This form will provide the university with your diploma mailing information and preferred diploma name.
