Summary

The Allen School of Engineering & Computing at Trine University invites applications for a faculty position in the Rick L. and Vicki L. James Department of Computer Science and Information Technology beginning August 1, 2025.

Essential Duties and  Responsibilities 

This faculty member must be committed to delivering instruction in the computer science & information technology areas with passion, vision, and enthusiasm for teaching, while working in concert with other faculty to continually maintain the relevance of and improve the curriculum. 

Competitive candidates will show potential for excellence in classroom teaching and will demonstrate the ability or willingness to develop and teach courses in game design and AR/VR platforms, in addition to introductory level computer programming courses.

The successful candidate will be expected to engage in outreach and service activities at the department and school level, and serve as a mentor to our student game design and coding teams.   

Candidates who, in addition to the above qualifications, possess a strong background in Game Engines such as Unity, are especially encouraged to apply.

Education and/or Experience

Applicants must at least have an M.S. degree in computer science or a relevant technical field.
