Summary
The Allen School of Engineering & Computing at Trine University invites applications for a faculty position in the Rick L. and Vicki L. James Department of Computer Science and Information Technology beginning Fall of 2024.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The faculty member must be committed to delivering instruction in the information technology areas including hardware, IT support and services, operating systems, information systems, PowerShell, network and systems administration with passion, vision, and enthusiasm for teaching. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to help our students earn industry standard certifications such as A+ and Network+. They will also contribute to our computer science society while coaching and developing new student activities and mentoring students.
Competitive candidates will show potential for excellence in classroom teaching and will demonstrate strong IT skills with a desire to learn or have knowledge of AR/VR, game design, and pedagogy.
Education and/or Experience
Applicants must at least have a B.S. degree in a field related to computer science, data science, information technology, software engineering, network administration, web development or a closely related field or valid work experience in at least one of these fields, and a minimum of a M.S. degree in either a relevant technical field or computing education.
