Summary:

The Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time assistant professor position on campus in Angola, Indiana. We are seeking a candidate who is committed to undergraduate instruction -- flexible, creative, and energetic with a strong desire to see students succeed. Candidates with a background in any area of psychology are urged to apply. Experience in cognitive and behavioral research preferred. Trine University does not offer tenure, but contracts are renewed annually, and faculty retention is outstanding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Teach a broad range of undergraduate courses in psychology.
  • Advise students majoring in psychology.
  • Provide service to the University by serving on committees, advising student groups, and assisting with departmental initiatives, etc.
  • Work with the department chair and faculty on program assessment, course and program development, and student recruitment.

Required education:  

The ideal candidate will have expertise in and the ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in the field of psychology.  A doctoral degree in psychology or a related field is preferred.  Candidates with masters degrees will also be considered.
