Summary

Initiate and manage collaborative efforts between Trine University and Education One sponsored charter schools, to increase educational opportunities for all students 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between Trine University and Education One sponsored schools to enhance collaboration efforts
  • Increase number of Dual Enrollment participants at Education One sponsored schools
  • Oversee Transition to Teaching Charter School Cohort
  • Facilitate Student Service initiatives on campus
  • Create and maintain programs to increase internship potential for Trine students in Education One schools
  • Increase job placement opportunities for Trine students in Education One schools, including but not limited to, planning and hosting an Education One Job Fair, etc. 
  • Coordinate University field trips, mascot visits, admission team visits,
  • Act as a University Supervisor for Trine FSOE student teachers
  • Evaluate applications for new charter schools
  • Assist with annual school reviews and compiling annual reports, as needed
  • Assist with charter revocation or non-renewal when necessary
  • Assist with the evaluation of existing charter schools petitioning for renewal when necessary
  • Attend school board meetings on a monthly basis
  • Oversee school compliance requirements, including but not limited to monthly reporting, pre-opening, etc.
  • Oversee grant writing and implementation for Education One schools
  • Manage Education One website to ensure all attachments are up to date
  • Willingness to travel in state to conduct school site visits and out of state for charter school conferences
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Education

  • Valid teaching, counseling and/or administrative license
  • Minimum two years teaching experience

Experience/Skills/Special Knowledge

  • Experience as a high school counselor and/or student coordinator preferred
  • Ability to collaborate, schedule, and organize strategic partnership opportunities
  • Leadership capabilities
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Problem solving skills
