Summary
Initiate and manage collaborative efforts between Trine University and Education One sponsored charter schools, to increase educational opportunities for all students
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between Trine University and Education One sponsored schools to enhance collaboration efforts
- Increase number of Dual Enrollment participants at Education One sponsored schools
- Oversee Transition to Teaching Charter School Cohort
- Facilitate Student Service initiatives on campus
- Create and maintain programs to increase internship potential for Trine students in Education One schools
- Increase job placement opportunities for Trine students in Education One schools, including but not limited to, planning and hosting an Education One Job Fair, etc.
- Coordinate University field trips, mascot visits, admission team visits,
- Act as a University Supervisor for Trine FSOE student teachers
- Evaluate applications for new charter schools
- Assist with annual school reviews and compiling annual reports, as needed
- Assist with charter revocation or non-renewal when necessary
- Assist with the evaluation of existing charter schools petitioning for renewal when necessary
- Attend school board meetings on a monthly basis
- Oversee school compliance requirements, including but not limited to monthly reporting, pre-opening, etc.
- Oversee grant writing and implementation for Education One schools
- Manage Education One website to ensure all attachments are up to date
- Willingness to travel in state to conduct school site visits and out of state for charter school conferences
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Education
- Valid teaching, counseling and/or administrative license
- Minimum two years teaching experience
Experience/Skills/Special Knowledge
- Experience as a high school counselor and/or student coordinator preferred
- Ability to collaborate, schedule, and organize strategic partnership opportunities
- Leadership capabilities
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take initiative
- Problem solving skills
