Summary
The Director of Graduate School has the strategic responsibility and accountability for academic quality and operations of the Graduate School. The Director of Graduate School is an experienced and motivated leader with the interpersonal skills to build an inviting advising experience for graduate students and supporting atmosphere for faculty to provide quality education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete oversight, development and improvement of curriculum.
- Promotion of academic programs and involvement in recruitment of students, retention and placement.
- Coordinate program assessment plan(s) with the Director of Assessment and input from program coordinators.
- Perform graduation verification and work to ensure uniformity in academic advising.
- Approves memorandums of understanding, programmatic offerings, and training and development opportunities with the leadership of regional community colleges; presidents/vice presidents/directors of human resources at corporations, manufacturing centers, small businesses, etc.
- Work with the Assistant Vice President of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies to develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive recruitment plan for the Directors of Admission and Academic Directors including enrollment projections, budgets, and goals for Graduate School.
- Collaborates with the Director of Online Learning and Director of Instructional Development to strengthen online student recruitment, retention efforts and the continuous improvement of graduate courses and alternative course delivery methods.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates of all programs and efforts, which seek to enroll an academically talented and culturally diverse student body.
- Seeks to develop new graduate academic programs that are relevant to the non-traditional student market and will lead to the recruitment of students.
- Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates faculty, advisors and coordinators for the Graduate School. Including coordinating activities (i.e. scheduling meetings).
- Responsible and accountable of additional duties and assignments as prescribed by the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Education and/or Experience
Doctoral degree (Ph. D.) or equivalent terminal degree in related field.

Salary
The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
