Summary

The Dual Enrollment Matriculation Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the seamless transition of dual enrollment students into full admission. This position focuses on pre-admission guidance, advising, and fostering engagement among dual enrollment students to promote matriculation. The Coordinator will actively engage with students and families, host events on campus and at partner high schools, and establish routine in-person hours at local schools to support student engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Matriculation and Pre-Admission Support:
      • Provide personalized guidance to dual enrollment students and families about Trine University’s admission process, academic programs, and pathways for continued enrollment after high school.
      • Advise students on academic readiness and the benefits of matriculating to Trine University, helping them understand credit transfer options, career pathways, and financial aid opportunities.
  • Relationship Building and Outreach:
      • Establish and maintain relationships with local high schools, working closely with school counselors and administrators to identify and support students interested in pursuing higher education at Trine University.
      • Coordinate and attend regular on-campus and in-school events, such as informational sessions, Q&A panels, and advising days, to engage students and families in the dual enrollment experience.
  • Campus and School-Based Presence:
      • Organize and host dual enrollment events on campus, including open houses, orientation sessions, and workshops, to provide students with opportunities to explore university life.
      • Set up routine hours at local partner schools to offer in-person advising and answer questions, becoming a familiar and accessible point of contact for students.
  • Student Engagement and Academic Advising:
      • Conduct individual and group advising sessions to discuss academic pathways, course selection, and degree options for dual enrollment students.
      • Help students explore majors and career interests, providing guidance on program choices that align with their goals and preparing them for their transition to full admission.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
      • Maintain records of student interactions, track engagement and matriculation rates, and compile reports for the Dual Enrollment Office to support data-driven recruitment and retention strategies.
      • Collaborate with the admissions team to monitor matriculation outcomes and refine strategies for encouraging dual enrollment students to continue their education at Trine.
  • Compliance and Accreditation Support:
      • Ensure all advising and matriculation efforts align with the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) Accreditation Standards.
      • Support the Director of Dual Enrollment in documentation, reporting, and process improvements to maintain program quality and compliance.

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
