Summary
The Residence Life Coordinator will assist in the administration and operation of the Housing and Residence Life Department. They will lead efforts to recruit, hire, train, and develop student staff working in the department. The Residence Life Coordinator will have oversight of student development activities, staff supervision, student conduct, and housing operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating student staff.
- Serve as a judicial coordinator and hear student cases that involve policy violations.
- Coordinate community development efforts and large-scale programing in the residence halls.
- Coordinate residential room inventories, inspections damage assessments, and update all in StarRez.
- Assist with planning and implementing residential move in/out processes.
- Use StarRez housing program to assign or reassign residents when necessary.
- Maintain daily office hours.
- Serve on assigned departmental committees and represent the Office of Student Services on campus-wide committees.
- Assess residential services and create ways to improve.
- Coordinate scheduling and organization of student staff on-call schedules.
- Assist with department accounting and administrative needs including budgets and item inventories.
- Assist with communications for the department including social media.
- Maintain operational procedures as necessary to ensure organized and efficient operations within the department.
- Assist with Student Orientation

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning preferred.
This position requires flexible scheduling that will include evening and weekend work. Must be able to work under pressure. This position is required to be available in an on-call rotation. Experience with computer applications is required (Excel, Visio, Word, Canvas, PowerPoint, Publisher, Astra, StarRez & Jenzebar)
