Summary

The Student Success Representative (SSR) is responsible for delivering professional, high-quality support to students at Trine University. This dynamic role requires a strong blend of organizational excellence, interpersonal communication, and technological proficiency. SSRs serve as critical connectors between students and university resources, building positive, collaborative relationships across departments to support student success and retention.

Ideal candidates will be flexible, creative, visionary, and energetic team players who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The position demands a high degree of independence, sound decision-making skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision. Student Success Representatives must be adaptable and solutions-oriented, demonstrating a genuine commitment to supporting students through every stage of their academic journey.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students, providing guidance and/or directing inquiries to the appropriate university staff or departments.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to student needs with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
  • Accurately process a variety of student requests according to university policies and procedures.
  • Manage and resolve tickets within the ticketing system, ensuring inquiries are documented, tracked, and escalated appropriately.
  • Handle a high volume of incoming calls and emails while maintaining responsiveness and service quality standards.
  • Meet established performance metrics related to call volume, email response times, and resolution efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of student success and departmental operations.

 Education and/or Experience

A minimum high school or GED diploma is required with a minimum of four years of administrative support/customer service experience or an associate’s degree preferred.

Salary

The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
