Area residents interested in launching or advancing their nursing career can learn
more about Trine University’s associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs during
a Friday, Jan. 16, event at Cameron Health.
Registration is open at trine.link/nursing26.
Beginning at 10 a.m. in the Joyce and Al Gutstein Education and Innovation Center,
407 E. South St., Angola, the morning will begin with an overview of Trine’s Associate
of Science in Nursing (ASN) program by Amy Bortner, director of the program.
Designed for students seeking to become a registered nurse, the ASN is completed in
four semesters after meeting prerequisite and selection requirements.
Next, Angel Jennings, executive director of nursing at Trine, will provide an overview
of the university’s RN-BSN and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs. Offered
online, these programs provide an opportunity for registered nurses to advance their
careers, obtain leadership opportunities and become nursing educators.
Elaine Cooper, director of simulation education for Cameron Health, will then give
a presentation on the services offered there. A tour of the Gutstein Education and
Innovation Center will follow.
The morning will close with an opportunity for questions and for students to apply
and have their transcripts evaluated.
