Trine offering spirit days, giveaways for students who visit during Private College Week

July 17, 2026

Trine University will welcome visiting students with themed spirit days and giveaways as part of Indiana Private College Week, July 20-24.

During the week, tour guides and Trine Admission staff will celebrate with spirit days each day. The university also will offer prizes and giveaways for visiting students throughout the week.

Students can find out more after they register for individual visits at trine.edu/visit.

“Indiana Private College Week is the perfect opportunity to learn more about all the advantages that Trine University and other private institutions have to offer,” said Kim Bennett, vice president for enrollment management at Trine. “While we’re well-known for providing personal attention, families may be surprised to learn the breadth of academic programs and campus experiences offered at private colleges and universities, as well as how generous financial aid packages keep our costs competitive.”

Indiana’s private, nonprofit colleges are offering special visits to students and their families as part of Indiana Private College Week. Prospective students and their families interested in the college selection process will experience the unique personalities of each campus through tours, informational sessions and conversations with current students and staff.

A complete list of participating campuses, event schedules and registration information is available at icindiana.org/pcw.

“Students and their families can make the best decision about where to attend by seeing the dorms and classrooms, meeting with faculty and staff, and seeing themselves thriving on campus,” said Dr. Dottie L. King, president and CEO of Independent Colleges of Indiana.

“We aim to show every student and family that an Indiana private college education is attainable and affordable,” said King. “In addition to federal and state grants, including the 21st Century Scholarship, ICI colleges and universities provide millions of scholarship dollars to students, making a top-tier college degree a dream come true for tens of thousands of students.”

Visitors between the ages of 16 and 20 touring ICI campuses during Private College Week will also have the chance to enter a drawing for an Apple iPad. Entry forms and rules will be available from each campus.

Although Indiana’s private colleges encourage and welcome visitors throughout the year, this concentrated week offers students an opportunity to visit as many campuses as they would like without missing school. Individual tours may also be scheduled upon personal request.
