"All the opportunities to be involved in different classrooms, practicums, and different school communities has prepared me for my own classroom. My involvement with youth as a camp counselor and assistant coach prepared me to be the 7th grade Volleyball coach and the head varsity Girls' basketball coach at BRV.

"While at Trine, I adapted to a whole new culture. Angola, itself, was different from my hometown of Chicago. It made me appreciate and adapt new values that I took for granted being from a big city. The education department was my family so I did not get home sick. They helped me make it through a rigorous education program and for that, I am forever in debt to the education department staff."
