Summary
The Allen School of Engineering & Computing at Trine University invites applications for a faculty position in the Rick L. and Vicki L. James Department of Computer Science and Information Technology beginning Fall of 2024. The faculty member must be committed to deliver instruction in the computer science & information technology and extended reality programs with passion, vision, and enthusiasm for teaching while working in concert with the other faculty to continually maintain the relevance of and improve the quality of the curriculum and instruction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess an earned doctoral degree in computer science or a closely related field by the contract start date, as well as industry and/or teaching experience in software development. To be considered for the position, candidates will possess an earned masters degree in computer science or a closely related field by the contract start date, as well as show potential for excellence in classroom teaching. They will also demonstrate evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and will be expected to engage in academic advising, service to their department, school and university, and outreach activities.
