Summary

The Franks School of Education at Trine University invites applications for a full-time assistant/associate professor of education beginning August 2025. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teacher education and an understanding of current research in K-6 (specifically literacy, math, and science). The ideal candidate will also have a passion for collaboration with colleagues and P-12 school partners.

The Franks School of Education has a long tradition of preparing future teachers. The program positions teacher education graduates to be effective P-12 educators through the incorporation of extensive clinical experiences and utilization of performance-based measures for assessing teacher candidates’ readiness.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses related to curriculum and instruction for elementary education majors. Position also includes academic advising and supervision of field experiences and student teachers.

Required Education

Doctorate preferred, master’s required with a minimum three years of U.S. public school teaching experience and a strong commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level. Successful teaching demonstration required.
