Trine hosting first educators’ conference, accepting proposals

January 06, 2025

Trine University will host its first conference for K-12 educators this summer.

Conference session proposals are being accepted now through Feb. 17.

Free conference

The Storm Into Summer conference will be held on Wednesday, June 4, at Trine University’s Angola campus.

There is no charge for the conference.

Storm Into Summer will offer educators the opportunity to collaborate and learn from each others’ successes. Session topics will include AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Innovation in Education; Educational Leadership; Literacy and the Science of Reading; STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics); Successful Practices in Teaching and Learning; and Universal Design for Learning/Accessibility.

“We’re so excited to provide this opportunity for educators to network, add new ideas and tools to their teaching toolbox, and to experience campus from the other side of the desk,” said Megan Tolin, DET, dean of the Franks School of Education. “We are looking forward to hosting this conference as a way to give back to the educators who give so much to students and the community.”

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
