Campus Safety

Campus safety provides a variety of services to students, faculty and staff.  They can be contacted any time of day or night with officers on duty 24/7 - 365 days a year.

Emergency Notifications

Trine University uses Rave Mobile Alerts to notify students, faculty and staff of all emergencies that might occur on or around the main Angola campus and outlying Education Centers. This mass notification system sends alerts for situations of severe weather, medical emergencies and other types of crisis situations.  

Wellness Screening

  • Occurs annually in October
  • Insurance premium discount offered for completion (January 1 effective date)

Benefit Open Enrollment

  • Occurs annually in November
  • January 1 effective date

Pay Schedule

  • Trine is a bi-weekly payor, paying employees every other Friday
  • If a payday falls on a holiday, the paydate will move forward one day

Life Insurance

  • University paid life insurance equal to 1.5x employees annual salary
  • Optional Life and AD&D coverage available up to $500,000 for employees, $250,000 for spouses and $10,000 for children

Flexible Spending

  • Optional program that allows redirection of pre-tax payroll deductions for use in paying eligible health/dependent care expenses

Health Savings Account

  • Similar to the Flexible Spending program in that it allows redirection of pre-tax payroll deductions for use in paying eligible health/dependent care expenses
  • No  "use-it-or-lose-it" provision
  • Must be enrolled in the HDHP to be eligible
  • Trine will contribute funds into your H.S.A. account depending on the level of coverage selected

Retirement

  • Immediate enrollment into the Tax Deferred Annuity Plan available
  • One year waiting period for enrollment into 403b Plan
  • After waiting period, Employee will receive an Employer contribution of 5% and up to an additional 5% employer match    

Tuition Remission

  • Undergraduate tuition remission available for employees, spouses and dependent children
  • Graduate tuition remission available for employees
