Marcus Little embarked on his professional journey by serving in the U.S. Navy, specializing as a marine mammal handler training California sea lions and bottlenose dolphins. Following his military service, Marcus cultivated a passion for traveling and immersing himself in new cultures. This led him to pursue a master's degree in English with the ultimate goal of teaching English as a second language abroad.

Over the past decade, Marcus has dedicated his career to teaching English, with experiences spanning Saipan, Saudi Arabia, Myanmar, Kazakhstan, and the U.A.E. His time abroad sparked an academic interest in cross-cultural and intercultural studies, prompting him to return to school and pursue a doctorate in intercultural studies from Grace Seminary. Marcus's research focus centers on intercultural conflict and communication.

Currently residing in Astana, Kazakhstan, Marcus shares his life with his wife and daughter. As a family, they find joy in outdoor activities, particularly in the snowy landscape of Astana. They also indulge in traveling around Central Asia and savoring beshbarmark, a traditional Kazakh dish consisting of horse meat, noodles, and onions.
