Von Roderick Plessner specializes in teaching Statistics and Quantitative Methods for the MBA program at Trine University. He has a Ph.D. and an MBA from The University of Toledo, a BS from The Defiance College, and an AAB from Northwest State Community College.
He's been happily married for 55 years and is proud of his three children, four grandchildren, and four great-granddaughters. Von’s academic journey has taken him to many countries, including Mexico, Canada, England, France, and China.
Since 1984, Von has taught at various institutions, including Northwest State Community College, Defiance College, Bluffton University, Jackson Community College, Tiffin University, and Trine University. He has a background in Computer and Management Consulting, working with companies like Campbell Soup Company and Automatic Feed. In 2014, he celebrated teaching over 10,000 students in over 900 course sections. Von received awards for his contributions, including the Emeritus Faculty Award from Northwest State Community College.
Von also co-published a textbook titled "The Craft of Data Collection, Description, and Inference" with Mobius Communications, Ltd and co-authored an article titled "The Effect of Quality Management Theory on Addressing Student Learning Outcomes" in the SAM Advanced Management Journal.
