I was born and raised in Garrett, Indiana. Upon graduating from high school, I attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, where I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.

I graduated cum laude with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis. While at law school, I was an avid Moot Court competitor. I competed in the Robert H. Staton Intramural Moot Court Competition, where I was honored with receiving the Mitzi H. Martin Moot Court Award for the best oral advocate. I also competed in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition in New York. In addition, I served as an Associate Justice on my school’s Moot Court Board, as well as on the Indiana Health Law Journal, where my Note was published, titled Get “HIP” America: Using the ‘Healthy Indiana Plan’ as a Model for Decreasing the Number of Uninsured Americans One State at a Time.

I currently work as a corporate attorney and am admitted to practice law before Indiana State Courts, as well as before the U.S. District Courts for both the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.

In addition to practicing law, I love teaching. I have been teaching college classes at Trine University for over a decade. I also enjoy writing about the law and am passionate about adoption advocacy.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, outdoor activities and vacations to the beach.
